Personal Coaching (Personal Training)

46 Sport and Fitness is proud to offer both online and on-location personal coaching. Personal coaching typically referred to as personal training is an ideal and effective method employed by many many people worldwide to ensure health, lifestyle, and fitness goals are attained and maintained. Trainers work together with their clients to affect behaviour change leading to the adoption of healthy lifestyle habits such as regular exercise & activities, appropriate nutrition, and stress reduction techniques.

Typically people contemplating hiring a personal coach/trainer are looking for guidance, education, support, and perhaps most importantly, accountability in their quest for realizing their goals and satisfying their needs. Much like bringing your car to a mechanic when it requires servicing, enlisting the expertise of a personal coach will assure that your needs, wants and concerns are addressed. The coach will incorporate all pertinent information into a plan and will execute this plan through a well designed health and fitness program.

Sport Specific Strength and Conditioning

Along with our personal coaching programs, 46 Sport and Fitness offers individuals and teams a variety of strength and conditioning services designed specifically to improve and optimize sport specific performance. Sport specific strength and conditioning in its simplest form is a method of training individuals to enhance/improve or attain peak proficiency within a given sport by employing established scientific training principles.

SSS&C (sport specific strength and conditioning) originated in the former eastern bloc nations (communist-bloc countries) predominantly East Germany and the USSR. Sport scientists and elite level coaches would employ leading-edge science based methods and practices in concert with systematic periodized training programs to manipulate athletic capabilities. This ‘manipulation’ would set up athletes from both team and individual sports to peak for major competitions or competitive seasons thereby maximizing athletic performance.
